Bigger curves, bolder lines and a bit more length. That's a good way to describe it. It's a long car, in fact, its Camaro-esque length may fool you into thinking you've just bought a sleek sports car. The front grill is low, wide and has a mean looking stance and the grooves on the hood, hint towards its sporty ambitions. The 3.6-liter aluminum V-6 makes an adequate 305 horsepower at 6800 rpm, winds to 7300 rpm when the six-speed automatic is locked in Manual mode, and is expected to deliver an estimated 10.7 l/100km in mixed driving fairly high compared to the competition. The styling continues all the way inside too, in fact, much more so. The tan leather in our car extended on the dash and made a swooping W on the front dash. This was a bit annoying as it reflected strongly on the front window, but you get used to it after a while. The seats are very high quality and very comfortable especially on the long drives. Rear parking sensors are optional on the LS and LT. A rearview camera is also optional for the LT, as is a Safety package with a forward collision alert system, a lane departure warning system, rear cross traffic alerts and blind spot monitoring. The Chevrolet Impala is re-energized and is a beautiful full size sedan that will impress even those with higher priced luxury cars and still leave you with money for a secondary car. It will satisfy many of those who have had to give up their sports cars for more practical family car.
