Intro The Porsche Boxster may be regarded as a baby Porsche, but with new styling and better performance, its probably going to give you the best bang for your sporting buck! Exterior The latest Boxster removes the flowing, sensual, but slightly feminine lines for a more angular and muscular look. Most of the drama can be witnessed on the front and side of the car. It's a lot more aggressive looking with sharp angles as well as large air scoops. The rear has an integrated spoiler with a third brake light for added impact. Will this inspired design be enough to overtake its competitors the Nissan 370Z, the BMW Z4 and the Chevrolet Corvette? We certainly think so! Performance Our Boxster GTS had a flat 6 cylinder engine producing 330 horsepower going from 0-100 under 4.5 seconds. The acceleration in sport mode using the paddle shifters is extremely thrilling and the car's grip on the road is very intuitive. Combine this with a phenomenal steering column, and what you've got is the most exhilarating drive, and it raises the bar quite high for its competition. It really is quite perfect for the daily commute owing to the Porsche Active Suspension Management system, which can be adjusted from normal settings to Sport and Sport Plus modes, giving drivers the choice of a comfortable or more sporty ride. Interior The interior is a heady mix of beautiful leather stitching and high quality material that will remind you that you're driving a Porsche. Given, some of those features may end up increasing the price substantially. The 7 inch touchscreen and the Burmester high power audio system and the power operated soft top give you the luxury along with the power, although the screen's interface could be more high resolution. It's accompanied by a circular color screen in the gauge cluster, which can show things like navigation instructions, trip computers, and audio information. But even on the standard options, the layout makes perfect sense, although figuring out which switch to go to when you need something will take a lot of practice because Porsche loves adding buttons for everything. Comfort & Safety The 2 seater Boxster has a soft top that you can retract at upto speeds of 40 kilometers and hour. And it does so quite elegantly. Seats are comfortable, with generous room for a compact two-seat sports car. The seats are fantastic and will hold you still on the most precarious of moves and make it easy to reach all of Porsches control buttons. Storage space is tight and even with the combine luggage space in the front and back, you're better off packing everything is soft cases than hard shells. This is also one of the quietest boxsters ever made, unless you're flooring it but then, that sound is what you're paying the big bucks for! The Boxster features dual front, side, curtain, and thorax airbags; anti-lock brakes; and very capable stability and traction control.
