In America, we call the hose layer unit the hose wagon. Sadly, our fire departments have since discontinued the use of the hose wagon. The last hose wagon in service was a Mack MR chassis from around the 1980s to the 1990s. It was in in service until maybe 2005 when, unfortunately, it was finally taken out of service and off the fire department roster. Hose wagons are now a fire appliance of the past. What's in the past stays in the past. It's just to show how much firefighting has changed so much from its 1698 roots in New York City to now. Even foam and Purple K fire retardant have taken over in the fire service!

Seeing this video i noticed thats its impossible to tell the difference between a fire truck, ambulance or police because they all use the same sirens so how do they expect people to understand

What are these units around the 12:00 mark? I've never seen a Nissan Hardbody like that. And that Ford truck... riot van?

our emergency people are great when you hear the tone and see the blues you pull over asap, unlike in other country's were they just sit there like fucking arse holes
