Numerous cars arrive in London from the Middle-East during these summer months, but few do it as dramatically as bringing three cars together, wearing matching number plates that cost vastly more than the cars! From Dubai we have a Mansory Bentley Continental GT, a Lamborghini Aventador and a Range Rover Sport wearing the plates Y 8, U 8 and O 8 respectively; each of which carry huge price tags for the plates alone back in the UAE. that plate cost minimum 10 million dollar

in 2008, an Abu Dhabi plate number (1) was sold for over 14 Million dollars, I don't think that number 8 will be far behind :)

It's funny to see us slaves thinking that money is being "wasted" on such things. It's like your unemployed neighbour thinking you are "wasting" money on a PS3 for your kids because you have a job.
People don't seem to realise that these Arabs/Saudis have lots of money and something like $1m for a license plate is like you buying a cheap smart phone for example. -
