Man accused of leading police on chase after rejected by woman posts bail Antonio Jackson, 24, released from jail early Tuesday MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - A man accused of leading police on a chase through northwest Miami-Dade Monday after he was rejected by a woman at a Miami Gardens bus stop bonded out of jail Tuesday. According to an arrest report, Antonio Jackson, 24, tried to talk to a woman while she was waiting for a bus at Northwest 191st Street and 27th Avenue. Police said the woman rejected Jackson's advances, and he became upset, telling her, "You too good to talk to a (expletive)?" Jackson then reached into his white Chrysler and grabbed a black object, which the woman feared was a handgun. According to the report, the woman quickly got onto the bus, which Jackson began following. In fear for her life, the woman asked the bus driver not to stop. Police said the bus driver assured her that she was safe and called the Miami-Dade Transit dispatch via the emergency call button that is inside each county bus. Miami-Dade police officers arrived to the scene and tried to pull Jackson over, but he refused to stop, the report said. Sky 10 was above the scene as Jackson crashed his car through a gate and barricade outside the Miami Dolphins' stadium in Miami Gardens. He was later apprehended by Miami Gardens police after he crashed into a marked Miami Gardens police SUV at Northwest 183rd Street and Fifth Court. The police officer inside the SUV appeared to have fired one shot at Jackson, but Jackson was not injured. Jackson's mother told Locl 10 News that her son was scared and called her during the chase. "They scared him because there were too many, and they pointing their guns and so he drove off," Angela Jackson said. "That's why he called me." Police said Jackson admitted to fleeing from officers, but denied having any conversation with the woman or anyone else at the bus stop. "He don't know nothing about that girl," his mother said. Jackson faces multiple charges including assault, fleeing and eluding police, reckless driving with damage to property and driving with a suspended license.
