Brunei is a small country in Southeast Asia just of the coast of Malaysia. It gained independence from the British in 1984 and very rapidly became one of the richest countries in the world on the basis of its oil reserves and petrochemical industries. According to the IMF, Brunei along with Algeria and Libya is only one of three countries in the world that do not have any debtwhatsoever. His wealth is estimated to be about 20 Billion USD. President Obama once joked to Sultan of Brunei, while he was visiting the US, that he should go out and do a bit of shopping to boost the American economy. Recently the 31 years old prince of Brunei got married. It was one of the most opulent weddings ever seen in the human history. The bride and groom have diamonds embroidered in their dresses and the traditional flower bouquet that the bride generally hold was entirely made up of diamonds. Only the cost of flowers for the ceremony cost more than half a million dollars while the festivities continued non stop for 8 days.
