Held in conjunction with Dubai International Motor Show, the parade started at Trade Centre roundabout and made its way to the first interchange. The fleet included more than 350 brands and models such as Bugatti Veyron, the world's fastest street car, Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, Maserati, Shelby Super Cars, Harley Davidson and Ducati. The parade was to be led by the 2013 Formula One constructors' champion Infiniti Red Bull Racing Formula One Car. Organisers said the parade was to be led afterward by Dubai Police's fleet of green and white supercars through the remainder of the route. Entries for the parade have come from private collectors, local owners and Dubai's automobile clubs. Devel says the Sixteen will sprint from 0-100km/h in just 1.8 seconds before reaching the top speed that claims to humble the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport's 431km/h production car world land speed record. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Devel has no proof to back up the Sixteen's lofty claims at this stage. Dubious figures aside, the Devel Sixteen features an undeniably eye-catching design, appearing to take inspiration from the Lamborghini Veneno on the outside and the Koenigsegg Agera in the cockpit. There's also more than a hint of Batmobile about the twin rear afterburners. If the as-yet-unannounced price tag is anywhere near as outrageous at its performance claims, the Sixteen is likely to remain in Dubai in the hands of sheikhs and oil barons. Hundreds of the world's most sought-after super cars are on display this week as part of the Dubai International Motor Show.
